FA CUP PREDICTION GAME: RESULTS
Fourteen people took part in the game, hoping to win the top prize of a new Saints jersey. Except for three fans, everyone plumbed for a Saints win - by various score-lines of course, with 3-2 the hot favourite as six fans bet on it. Eric Ang gambled on a draw while Patricia Watkins and Clement Wang thought Arsenal would win within 90 minutes. Unfortunately Pat and Clement both got the scoreline wrong, so nobody won any money for 'result'.
As far as 'first scorer' is concerned, nearly everyone thought (or wished!) Saints would score first and so we had bets going for Beattie, Ormerod, Oakley, Anders Svensson and Michael Svensson. Two persons, namely Cody and Kai Li, even took a long shot on Lundekvam to smash his scoring duck for Saints with the opening goal! Just Clement and Patricia went against the grain. Clement had a "strong feeling" Ljunberg would make FA Cup history by scoring in three consecutive cup finals, while Pat simply bet on Pires.
And so everyone lost their entire betting capital of $10 and made no money at all except for Patricia who won for 'first scorer'.
Hence only Patricia wins a prize, namely the first prize of a new Saints jersey and the second and third prizes of a Saints polo shirt and a 'Beattie for England' shirt are not awarded.
