Year I got hooked on Saints 50% hooked in season 1995-1996 (coz of Le Tiss), 100% Saints since season 1998.
Why Saints I started to take notice of Saints in 1995, the year Le Tiss netted 25 league goals only to be beaten by Andy Cole's 30 goals. But Le Tiss' goals were something special! They were not mere tap-ins or successful one-on-ones, but magical! The goal against Wimbledon in 1995 when Le Tiss took the freekick by using his foot to chip the ball up before volleying it into the net was enough to convince me to be a Saints fan but it was only when wonder boy Pahars came in 1999 did I become a full-blooded Saint. I thought, "This boy [Pahars] is gonna be a star."
My proudest moment as a Saints fan was when Le Tiss scored his last goal at the Dell. It was very emotional for every Saints fan as it was really a fairy-tale ending for the best Saints player ever to grace the red-and-white to have scored the last goal in the best stadium in the world.
What I expect of SingaSaints I hope SingaSaints will do a good job of spreading the message of a Saints community in Singapore so that more people will join us and we will get stronger.
What I want to see on this site I hope to see many pictures of players that grace the red-and-white of the Saints including of course Le Tiss. Hey if you have Mr Cutie Pie Anders Svensson's pic on the homepage of the website more girls will visit the site and hopefully join us. Make his pic real big.
